Pair of F-15s in close formation over Wretham, Norfolk at 10:30 this morning.
Not unusual for that area, but a long time since I’ve seen any.

Must have been an ATP then. In mitigation I only saw it from the side a mile or so away but figured from its length it wouldn’t be twin engined . Nose didn’t look as pointy as an ATP either

Indeed, I stand corrected. I was however posting in mild excitement having seen and heard something interesting on a dreary Tuesday!

Surely you mean Classic Air Force (previously Classic Flight)?
Classic Wings did buy one of “our” Rapides recently but is a different organisation operating from Duxford and Clacton.

Classic Wings Prentice flying circuits over Warwick Castle. Unusual to see it out at dusk on a weekday.

Today 4th Dec about 12:10 flying over Clifford’s tower in York. Dakota in invasion markings. Any idea which one? Nice that it is not too late in the year for a bit of spotting.

Just a heads up for Tuesday 24th Nov. If the plan works there should be a BN Islander ZG993 on the road between Shawbury and Middle Wallop to go into store for the Museum.

Well the plan didn’t work but just in case anyone on the M6 and M5 were wondering what they saw through the spray today, ZG993 has finally made it to the museum store at Middle Wallop

Either a Classic C130 or an AN12 over Manchester city centre yesterday around noon. Assuming a Saudi Herc E/H on it’s way to Warton, however it was very noisy and the conditions were far from ideal so it could have been an AN12, I guess?

I was delivering to the AAC Museum at Middle Wallop today and I saw a Lynx Mk9, an Apache, the Bell 212, what I’m sure was a Dauphin departed and as I was leaving I spotted 2 naval Lynx either in for major service (as panels missing) or scrapping parked on the apron outside Hangar 1. I also had a quick peek in to the museum from the cafe (very naughty) and saw Chipmunk WG432 on display.

Spitfire IX, possibly Boultbee’s (SM520), heading roughly in the direction of Goodwood about 5 minutes ago.

Cheers
