One of the first historic ‘spots’ of the year, a Stinson Reliant (bright yellow ) N69745 rumbling east past the top of Denham ATZ outbound mid morning, and back heading west 15.20 . Great to see it, like the first cuckoo of spring !
This airframe seems to have some association with Navy Wings at Yeovilton.

A busy spotting day at Horspath yesterday!
Off the top of my head – an Isaacs Fury, a Stearman, clipped-wing Spitfire, both military and civilian Austers, something that looked like a Supermunk, Fairchild Argus, Luscombe, Piper Cub…
I think I saw more different types than at Abingdon Airshow the day before!

We had the Duxford based Catalina pass over home today – looking at flightradar it was returning to Duxford from Le Touquet.
The Aerolegends aircraft were out and about again over the weekend too – we had Spitfire, Harvard and Tiger Moth over at various points.

They are displaying at the Bournemouth Air Festival 2-5 Sept.

No sign of the shed-with-wings for a while, I’m missing it!

Thank you for checking that – by the time I’ve had a post-cricket “shandy”, got home, had supper and downloaded my photos of the game, there’s no time left for things like thinking of looking up aeroplanes!
I should point out that it was the *wings* following the Dove, not winds, blame my fat fingers…

Last Sunday a Mustang with a blue tail in the far distance near Oxford about 7pm – I had to use 600mms of lens to even see it was a Mustang!
Yeaterday some interesting roadrunning going on – the fuselage of an Air Atlantique Dak on the back of a low loader was heading South down the M6 yesterday, followed closely by what I think must be the centre section of G-APSA – certainly a four-engined aircraft in British Eagle colours. Then an hour or so later, a DH Dove/Devon fuselage with the winds following behind.
