Cessna Bird Dog visited Lee On Solent last week. This is the one one that featured recently on the latest series of Warbird Workshop on More4.

Harvard over St Edward’s School, Oxford – not easy to see in the lighting conditions (lots of glare from white clouds) but easy to hear it rrrrrrrrrrrasp!

Spitfire earlier in the day just south east of Chelmsford heading towards Biggin Hill or at least the QEII Bridge

Prop Strike – I would like to take the credit for the picture but I Googled it and there are plenty to choose from as it happened,  I will amend my post to credit the photographer I just thought it looked the part.

It was just a quick glimpse just by chance, saw it pass between our house and next doors alley walls. I heard the Chinook coming, just in right place at the right time gardening.  I went inside and checked the flightradar web site and watched while posting the info yesterday, it flew south passed Oxford and that was that!  😮 )

Heard but not seen (well, only on ADS-B!) a few minutes ago, TFC’s Spitfire V EP120 heading to Goodwood.

 On the evening of 07/09 just as the darkness was complete I heard that lovely thud,thud,thud of a Chinook in the distance as it approached our area, stepped outside the back door to observe if possible but all I saw was the flashing lights very low.

Nipped upstairs to see if it was on Flightradar24 but nothing ? ? ? Could this have been a special ops training flight ? seems odd as Leamington does not get the military traffic it used to sadly.

The Chinook was flying east west and bearing in mind that Hereford is East’ish from my location the more I lean to a special ops training flight, still it’s only an assumption and we all know Assuming makes an Ass out of U&Me 😮 )

Low over Kidlington this evening, and looking as though they are still throwing people out of the back, an old friend that I don’t think I’ve seen until now this year – the rotundly porcine shape of a Skyvan!
(I suppose you could argue I’m obsessed. But for a long time it was our most regular historic visitor, and I’ve always had a soft spot for the flying shed)

Spotted whilst at the Great Dorset Steam Fair, Blandford Forum on the 27/08/22 was a yellow Stearman with a blue tail, red fuselage and numbered 02. Any ideas?
