SPOTTED 2023, what have you seen?

Grumman Albatross N98TP flew into Lee late this afternoon from Southampton for fuel, and then departed at 4.24 back to Southampton. Apparently Southampton Airport no longer provides Avgas 100L, only jet fuel.  I waited until it took off just as the sun was setting, hence poor quality of second pic. Take off direction was out over the water. Great sight and sound!

P51 Marinell was up at Duxford this afternoon.  

Yak 18T G-HAHU in circuit to land at Lee 30mins ago.

Thanks to the latest Flypast I can now identify the Mustang I saw a month ago as Miss Helen, which must have been coming in to land at the strip at Steventon  seeing as that’s just across the A34 from where I work. 

Lots of Strikemaster  sorties over Chelmsford this week and a few Spitfires

Lots of Spitfire movements over Chelmsford Essex over the weekend, possibly 8 flights I noted 

…and again today over Islip.  From the direction of the noise this time it may well have been operating out of Kidlington. 

Spitfire yesterday over Kidlington. This one did not put its legs down and turn for the airport, so I’m aiming it was flying over rather than giving flights. I suppose I should have looked out up on FR24…

ETA can’t see it. Ah well!

Overflying Farnborough towards the south east (presumably back to Biggin) 16:20 G-AEDU Dragonfly, BXHA Chipmunk and AHBL Hornet Moth is perfect formation, lovely sound!

Miss Pickup flew into Lee yesterday from Duxford for the Lee On Solent VE day celebration weekend.

Hurricane and Mustang wingtip to wingtip over Didcot at about 1.20 today – I caught a very brief and distant glance between buildings of one of them with wheels down, I can only assume they landed at Abingdon.

Hurricane just now, low down heading east into the haze , on the northern boundary of the Heathrow Zone.
At a guess, White Waltham to DX. 

Not flying, but on trailers going over A15/A17 roundabout near Sleaford, Chipmunk fuselage and Jet Provost nose. Made my day!!

Hi All,

 The welcome sight of a regular Emirates A380 on finals to BHX plus by sheer coincidence another A380 heading south at altitude directly above (From my perspective), earlier at approximately 15:30pm :- )

Is that a rare sight two A380’s one above the other ? .
