I recently attended a Fly-in at Archer Falls, Queensland, Australia, which included several interesting aircraft.
I detoured to Brisbane on my way home to Auckland (from Melbourne), and drove the 90 minutes north with friends.
Archer Falls is a private airfield, and they had organised the weekend to support TAVAS (The Australian Vintage Aviation Society), Wings of Life and the local Rural Fire Service. The setting was lovely, with a lot more green than I was expecting, and a large hill dominating one side of the strip.
TAVAS flew in their Fokker Dr.I replica, and Pietenpol homebuilt,

and trucked in their Fokker E.III reproduction.

I will have video of the engine run when I’ve had a chance to give it a quick edit, if people are interested.
