Hi:
Spotted a Flying boat (Yes! with a hull) Biplane just east of Ottawa flying west this evening about 8.15 pm.
It had passed over by the time I got the binos on it but it looked like twin engine, unequal span wings. Sikorsky S-38 replica is the best I can come up with.
Anyone else see it?
Does anyone know where the S-38 rep normally resides. Could it be going to Oshkosh?

The S-38 has been back at the builders in Owatonna, Minnesota since Kermit Weeks had it shipped back from Europe earlier this year. I’ve not read anything about it flying again since then.
Thanks for the update Mike. I wonder what it was then? Perhaps the ghostly spectre of a Stranraer from 70 years ago ???
