Well it made sense to me but then maybe you had to read between the lines a little bit.

I suspect that Ollie meant that he was taking pictures (shooting) of aircraft (them) as they came over the hedge (which was just past the static Merlin engines). I may be wrong however and perhaps he could have taken on the role of sniper, in which case those who poke fun better watch out this season, there may be a long list :p 😉

I did mean that. Thank you Chris.

I won’t wear my hi vis jacket with the target on to Legends or OW from now on, I think I maybe in his sights 🙂 on the other hand YIIF, why not employ him to take care of that Emu you’ve been having problems with.

I was standing right up by the merins being ground run and shooting them as they come over the hedge.

Sorry Ollie but now I’m a tad confused by your statement above… You went on to say in a further post that you witnessed the “static engine runs” – so what exactly do you mean by shooting them as they come over the hedge?
Were they static / were they fitted to and flown on an aircraft or what?
Sorry to say but you are attracting ridicule by your statements written presumably in a little haste..
As before, some of us have tried to persuade you to carefully check your posts for typos / grammar / accuracy etc to try and help you – but now you are up to your old tricks mate… 🙁

Damm typo. I ment i was standing by the static running Merlins at Gransden.

Static and running, were they on a treadmill then?

I assume you would use a small bore to shoot them ?

merins?

Is merins your pet name for Mustangs?

I recall highlights being the pair of P51 tailchasing… oh and the BBMF of course.

Are merins any easier to shoot than Grouse, Pheasant or Partridge?

Well I thought they were protected.

Maybe the Spotted ones aren’t?

Hum

Like your web site… one of the links isn’t working…

Only a few pix from Little Gransden…? I was there too… might have even passed by each other without knowing. Hope to get there this year too.

Went to Brize on Saturday and took loads of pix. Maybe some are good enough for Airliners.net…;)

Which link is not working? I am working on new pages and additions to my site at the moment. Keep an eye out in the next week or so.

I did get some nice photos from Gransden but i have not uploaded them yet. If i get a chance this year i will do that. I was standing right up by the merins being ground run and shooting them as they come over the hedge.
