After over a month without good weather, it finally cleared up. So I hereby declare the Dutch spotters season for open! Considering the number of threads you lot made the last few weeks I have some catching up to do. 😉
I would like to start catching up with these ten shots. The other 30 (thirty!)shots are on my site.

Out of interest what was the temp. like today over in Amsterdam?
Temperatures are hovering between -3 and +5 celsius. Wind chill can make it feel colder. Despite that there was a noticible heat haze over the runway, which is rather annoying.

No, EP-IBB was delivered to them new december 27th 1994. Construction number 727.
EP-IBC and IBD came from OA. All the others where either delivered to them new, or from THY.
Ok, thanks for that Peter. I knew that they had gotten an example or two from OA.

That’s a nice A300-600R of IranAir. Did they get that from Olympic?

Excellent selection Tenthije. And just in time for my visits in 2 weeks (keep the weather good :p :p )
Question :in the first pic (Iran Air) those chaps seem pretty close to the action…is that airside?? and is that bit open to joe public??
Cheers
That is landside and completely open to the public. Seems close by, but you can not see the canal between them and the runway. In the attached pic you can see where the land ends. All pics in this thread where taken there, except for the last two and the one with the parking lot in front of it. The one with the parking lot is just a few 100 metres from the Iran Air spot. To give an indication of how close you are. Most of the shots where taken with between 70 and 100 mm zoom (please multiply with 1.6 for digital crop factor if you are shooting analog).
It is similar to the mounds at MAN. If you take the picture just right it seems as though you are free to walk on the runway, but trust me, you are not!
To get there you must take busline 191, 193 or 198 to busstop Aalsmeerderweg. Walk into the street on you left (yes, the Aalsmeerderweg) and follow it till the end. Should be 15 minutes by bus and another 15 minutes walk.
