Spotting at MAN

Hi

My Mum and Dad are going to new orleans in Feb and at the same time im going to do some spotting at MAN.

Im getting a flight LGW-MAN and then back MAN-lhr (as I live in Hertfordshire).

As I am on my own, what is the best hotel to stay in?

What is the airport hotel like? Is it OK?
