I’m not surprised really Lincoln 7, I feel it will be a struggle for farmers this year and the effects of that will show in the shops in a big way.

Only talking to a Farmer yesterday, he has one of those very large tractors with the tracks, suposidly unstoppable, it was stuck in his field, well past the tracks of his unstoppable monster. States he has not a lot of hope for his “Spuds” this year either..
Guess prices will be on the UP this year.

I am glad people like the photos,Its been a sufferable winter for sure, Here in South London we have signs of spring in these flowers. We just need the temperatures now and I hope this weather has not ruined the crops for 2013.

Up in Norfolk, the crocuses are just appearing, the daffodils are hiding, and just having driven back from the pub, I can see through all the hedges in daylight for the first time. They are normally covered in leaves, but all the hedges and trees are still bald.

I wonder how much this long cold spell will affect the farmers with their crops.

Around here, the Daffodils are two weeks at least behind them being tall enough to pick, nearly all the fields they are in are waterlogged.

Same here, nothing but Snowdrops, which are struggling. The Daffodils are ready, they must just be afraid of the cold 😀

Very nice to see it gladdens the heart somewhat in this “spring” weather we are having. All my plants are on strike at the moment except for a few pansies and primula’s
