Wonder if anyone can help, I’ve put this on Pprune and looks like it’s going to come up with a 0 next to replies. So I thought I’d try here before I give up and have a sulk:)
I’m after details for Sqn Ldr Alexander Hugh MacKenzie he was a navigator, and basic details are below.
What I would really like is to know what Squadrons he served on, and most of all why he was awarded his 2 QCVSAs.
Alexander Hugh MacKenzie
P/O (from Sgt) Apr 1951 (backdated to 1947)
F/O Apr 1952
F/Lt Oct 1954
F/Lt (permanent) Nov 1954
Queen’s Commendation for Valuable Service in the Air Birthday Hons 1960
Sqn Ldr Supplementary List Jun 1968
Queen’s Commendation for Valuable Service in the Air (as a Sqd Ldr), NYH 1973
To be Sqn Ldr General Branch Nov 1975
Appt to Class J Reserve (as F/Lt) Jan 1977
Any help would be really gratefully received.:)

Sorry I can’t help further. If I was to take a guess maybe 1960 = something to do with Malaya as the RAF operation ended that year and 1973 being Yom Kippur year possibly he was based at Akrotiri. As I say totally guessing and may lead to a wild goose chase.
Good luck in your quest.
Thanks for the suggestions Mothminor, I do fear that I am heading towards a brick wall.
Thanks again:)

Thanks for that Mothminor, certainly ties up with one of his Queen’s Commendations for Valuable Service in the Air.
I didn’t realise that you can’t research QCVSA, really quite depressing:(
Thanks again for your efforts.
