Hi Folks.
It is with deep regret that I have to advise you of the passing of a great aviator. Amongst many other postings and positions, Barry was one of the real characters of No 8 Squadron Shackletons. Anybody who knew him would wholeheartedly agree.
Barry has succumbed to cancer and has been taken away at far too young an age.
The only reason I am posting this here is that I know there are other old gits like myself who frequent the forum who may well have known Barry, but, like me, wern’t aware of his passing. I believe his funeral is on May the 21st near his Scottish home. Sorry I don’t have any more details. I picked this up on another forum five minutes ago.
