Just received an enquiry regarding Squadron Leader MacIntyre based at Driffield during the war. I understand him to hold a senior position within Bomber Command (Squadron level), but know nothing else about him. Does anyone know of a Squadron Leader MacIntyre based at Driffield? Is there a list of officers which I can out? I dearly hope someone can help – the person requesting this information is a former WAAF who worked for the chap.

A bit more detail such as a first name or initial or maybe his job would give people a little bit more to go on.

I have emailed the gentleman who wrote to me on behalf of the 87 year old WAAF, who know this Squadron Leader. Hopefullly we shall secure some more information. I keep asking forum members for information and I am always appreciative. I only wish I could be as helpful.
