Squadron Leader R G Weighill and Wellington crash

Hi,
Can anybody confirm that Squadron Leader Weighill killed in a Wellington crash (X3320) on 16th/17th July 1941 whilst serving with 40 Squadron from Alconbury is the same man who served as an instructor at Hatfield pre war.
I would appreciate any assistance that could be offered.

Press cutting dated 8th May 1931. No further details of the incident I’m afraid.

Hi Paul,

Many thanks for this.
It is related to the Edmonton incident I believe I spoke to you about before.
All the best

Yes same man

he bailed out of an aircraft sometime in 1931 as a F/O and I would love a date and serial!

He went into reserve after regular service so mist have been called up on hostilities
