squirrel problem East Kent

Random question to test you collective minds.

For the third day running in Broadstairs, SE kent, i black squirrel helo has been flying a VERY slow path from a north west direction, almost following the course of the railway line, but a few hundred metres on the sea side. Its almost hoovering, took about 10 minutes to get quarter of a mile or so.

At first i assumed it was surveying the rail lines(do they do that, i have seen surveys of power lines, but there are no overhead lines on this railway), It is black, with yellow on the nose and around the windows, it has a nose camera and spotlight to the rear of the fuselage, Couldn’t make out the number, it was nose on and went right over the top of the house, but could see it was in large white letters on the tail.

Any ideas what it is and what it may be doing? A least its better than the noise the builders are making….

Seems like a strange task, esp in this area as its a heavily populated residential area, with the rail line either up high on raised embankments or down in cuttings, spent a lot of time over here and its right near the station as well.

I had a great idea a while back of getting rid of copper change and selling the copper to lesson national dept, but was told that coppers actually contain little copper…..

Was operating from East Mids about a week or so ago and was looking for people stealing Copper cabling apparently, it spotted someone loading some in a van and shouted over its loud speaker, Oih, we can see you or to the likes, said person dropped the copper and sped off and was stopped by the fuzzys, as he had dropped the copper so his van was empty and saying “he found it” there was nothing they could do as the copper was still on Railway property and he had not been seen physically removing it, simply carrying in the direction of his van, Well that’s what I was told, it is the British Railway Polices, and targets areas of high thefts, so better hold off on that latest haul ;):p

may have a photo of it if interested, will look see if I took one.
