SS.12 TCA guidance?

This is going back in time somewhat but this question has vexed me for a couple of decades so I might as well ask.

The potent old Nord SS.12 missile has always fascinated me but I’ve never been able to clarify whether it was upgraded with the Nord TCA SACLOS guidance. That would enable the operator to just peg his sight on the target and let the computer issue corrective commands.

For example, SS.11 was upgraded to Harpon with this guidance complex.

Gunston in “Encyclopedia of Rockets and Missiles” insists explicitly that no variant of SS.12 was ever compatible with TCA, implying that they all had to be hand-flown by tracking the missile flare by eye.

Certainly the early reports in the Flight archive describe the CLOS guidance as above.

However the 1971-72 Janes Weapon Systems disagrees.

Any old-timers here?
