St Athan airfield will be celebrating its 75th anniversary on July 9th 2013 and they will be carrying out a flypast of all types of aircraft or personnel that may have had links to the base. At the moment there is a Hornet Moth, pembroke and Beech 18 and maybe some others from hunter Flying. If anyone else would like to participate they can contact Jane Bissett on 01446797118

Its a pity the organisers probably can’t get a Phantom or Buccaneer in FAA colours to participate. St Athan was where HMS Ark Royal‘s fixed-wing aircraft flew to to be handed over to the RAF in late November 1978.
