The SPAR shop in the village (Over a third of the population being American) had the biggest St Georges flag I have ever seen.
They retain my custom for another year… or more

A bit like St Patrick’s day in this country…all the plastic paddies come out of the woodwork …90% of ’em wouldn’t even know where Ireland was…just an excuse for a p*ss up

We flew THE flag at work yesterday which is great considering it’s an American owned company. The UJ and George Cross side by side – did my morale the world of good. Pity there weren’t any of the big wigs over from the States as they would have seen the UJ in pride of place and the Stars and Stripes on the same level as the George cross, I think they might have been a little miffed but never mind.

Has anybody anywhere seen anything at all to mark that it’s St. George’s Day ?

Has anybody anywhere seen anything at all to mark that it’s St. George’s Day ?
Large group of overweight middle aged men wearing T Shirts emblazoned with the St George’s Cross in true Crusader fashion wandering through Liverpool Airport at 7am. I thought there was a football match on somewhere for a few minutes.
Anyway, happy St George’s day to all residents of England, Aragon, Catalonia, Ethiopia, Georgia, Greece, Lithuania, Palestine, Portugal, Russia Amersfoort, Beirut, Bteghrine, CΓ‘ceres Ferrara, Freiburg, Genoa, Ljubljana, Gozo, Pomorie, Qormi, Lod, and Moscow.
