A lot of NATO-countries use the SM-1 missiles as main SAM-weapon for their frigates and destroyers. I wonder how up-to-date those weapons still are regarding modern Anti-shipmissiles when you consider the SM-1 entered production late sixties.
I’m very interested if somebody can tell me what versions the Dutch and German navies use and what versions the USN still operate, keeping in mind the latest version now produced by Raytheon Co is the Block VIB.
