Hi all, It seems nearly a year since I last picked up my camera or indeed posted anything on the forum. Promotion at work and relocation to Cornwall has meant more hours working, less hours pleasure, that coupled with the general lack of avaition in Cornwall doesn’t make for a good hobby! Anyway enough moaning; I flew up to STN for a meeting in the local area and managed to get some shots. Apologies for the processing and the light!, as I said it has been a while. Hope you like them.
Si

I was chuffed to cath this classic, if only you could have heard the noise as the P&Ws spooled up!

Gutted I was not at the ther end of the runway for this jet for that rotation shot.

Live about 2 miles from Newquay Airport near Mawgan Porth, work at RAF St Mawgan. The good old council have built mud walls around the parking areas where you could get shots of the aircraft landing on 12….I love Cornwall CC….as the frosties tiger would say…therrrreeee Greeaat!
Ah yes I know of Mawgan Porth. I hope you are enjoying life in Cornwall, it can be quite different, if like me, you come from a city background.
Cornwall CC are great at wrecking things.. Like their expert skills at not meeting the deadline to get the airport sufficient enough for civil ops.. haha.

When are you using the new LBA – NQY route? 🙂
As soon as that git Spalding gets his act together and gets his own place sorted out! I shall let you know. Do you spend most of the time around Newquay these days?

Indeed, Si. Stop whinging and post more! 😀
I joke, of course. It isn’t any fun when you don’t have time to go out shooting. Then again, at least you have an excuse. I have loads of time at the moment but I’m too lazy to make the most of it and take my cameras out as often as I should. Not good!
Nice images as usual, and that 727 is an absolute beauty! The side on shot is very nice indeed.
Thanks for sharing, Si. It’s nice to see you posting again and hopefully it will be a more regular occurrence?! 🙂

Qualified as a professional whinger in 2008! When are you using the new LBA – NQY route? 🙂
Lovely stuff!
Where abouts are you living in Cornwall? I used to live down there! Plenty of chances to photograph GA there as there are a few airfields down that way. I trained at perranporth which was a nice airfield.
