Yes, they were weather diversions. The KC-10 circled Mildenhall a few times before diverting.

Baz – ah that would explain it :). I wasn’t complaining as I haven’t seen them there before and it made my day when I realised it was a KC-135 coming in on finals.

Edit; I think the KC-10 left this morning as one flew over Duxford fairly low about half an hour ago heading Mildenhalls way.
