Here is my question, I was wondering if all Star Alliance members were required to paint one of their planes in the new Star Alliance logo? I have noticed that Varig has just received two “new” 767-300 that are now all white. Does anyone know if they are going to paint one of them with the Alliance logo. I heard that they will be painting at least one of them with their new colors.

i haven’t hear anything about SWISSs MD11s going to RG, but it wouldnt surprise me….

Thanks for all the welcome wishes. Still on this subjects, I have heard that Varig got three 767 and that they are painting them in their new livery, which should also be seen soon on one of their MD11, but I still have not heard if they will be painting on in the Star livery.
On another note, has anyone heard that some of the Swiss MD11 will go to Varig?

Well there has been now news about Air New Zealand painting their aircraft in the Star Alliance logo livery.

Air Canada has an alliance scheme on one of its A340’s, it flys regulary to YYC 😀 I’m ont sure if its a requirement of the alliance tho, i’m sure it might boost the lines reputation among the alliance, shows a sense of loyalty!

are u sure varig isnt just leasing the 767s? because that might also be another reason for them being all white….
also, it would be nice if they did a “retro” scheme and brought back the old VARIG/Cruzeiro colour scheme
