Star Alliance suspends Air India’s Membership application

Star Alliance has put on hold Air India Ltd.’s request to join the grouping after the flag carrier failed to meet the minimum conditions, according to a report.
The report stated that the group is open to discussing a potential membership for Air India “at a future stage.”
Air India is working to restructure loans and return to profit after low-cost carriers such as IndiGo lured customers, says report.
