First off, a BIG thank you to Rick and Mike plus the rest of the guys at Starfighters for their hospitality! 🙂
…anyway, the occasion was some filming for a local daytime show (‘Daytime’ on WFLA-TV NBC in Tampa) and the lucky back seat rider was the Senior Executive Producer – I did tell her that she was now the envy of tens of thousands of guys around the world! 😉 ;D
It flies on THOSE?!

One of two passes to allow the cameraman to get a shot of the F104’s passenger enjoying her flight!

Sat in the Florida sun, looking stunning after the sortie

Their single seater, currently grounded and in need of a new powerplant

She really was excited about this flight – here her TV cameraman gets a “thumbs-up” shot for the show…

Taxiing out….

Blast off! Up, up and away …. wonder what the look on her face was at this point!

Back to earth…

How much do you wish that was you?! :p

Didn’t some of the of the former Italian F-104’s recently fall into private hands?

I really miss the Starfighter – if only we could get one over to the Uk for a couple of shows one summer, doubt the CAA would allow it and the cost would be rather high but it would be nice.
Cool photos by the way 🙂
