I’m not a great photographer so apologies for any compositional or lighting faux pas, I only had a two hour window to go round the place too which was frustrating. Not as frustrating as filling the memory card in 15 mins and the battery packing up on the spare camera. Memo to self- be prepared (the boy scouts were right…).

Wow! That was quick !!!
I visited the same place in June – and the Tu-142 was in pieces – having been dis-assembled and moved from Poltava.
They also had a Be-12, Tu-134, Tu-22M3 in bits awaiting re-assembly :-

I’ll post some pics of the Tu-142 in bits tonight – when I get home.

That Bear actually is a Tu-142, a Tu-142MZ BEAR F Mod 3 if i’m not mistaken. The -95 is the bomber, the -142 is the submarine hunter.

Considering the location they look looked after! Nice to see a TU95 on display
Nice to find out that one can (and did) turn all the props by hand too…

wrong photo
These will be the last few I promise…it was a nice surprise to find the TU95 as it wasn’t mentioned on the museum’s website.
