Status of F100 PH-LMV?

Two weekends ago I spotted this plane at Fokkers maintenance fascility of Woensdrecht, in the southwest of the Netherlands. The current status of this plane is unknown.

This is an interesting plane for several reasons. Firstly this was the first and only F100 in the KLM fleet that had a rear door (in front of the #1 engine). But after only a few months of operations, it was retired and placed into storage. Even though KLM has had a chronic plane shortage recently due to the written of 734 at BCN and a towing incident to a F100, PH-LMV was not taken out of storage.

At airliners.net it was said that PH-LMV was to be re-engined as part of the Rekkof project. The BR.715 was selected, the same engine that powers the B717. Of course any Rekkof story is to be taken with a pinch of salt.

Most recent development is that PH-LMV will not be re-eninged (surprise!) but will instead be traded to another airline. Speculaction is a bit sketchy, but apparantly “somewhere in the east”.

So does anyone happen to know more about the current status of this plane?

History of PH-LMV:

  • First flight 12/15/1990 with registration PH-LMV.
  • Delivered to Sempati Air (Indonesia) 02/08/1981 as PK-JGE.
  • Delivered to TAM (Brasil) 01/07/1999 as PT-MQM.
  • Stored december 2004.
  • Delivered to KLM Cityhopper (through lessor DEBIS) 21/04/2005, again as PH-LMV.
  • Stored around october 2005 at Woensdrecht.

Might be.

I know Carpatair has a few on order, but those are formerly Jetsgo planes. Of course it is still possible that Carpatair has taken up this plane.

Another possibility might be Aeroflot Don. They will take on a few F100s that where previously with Jetsgo. Amongst others the former C-GKZP. It is now at Woensdrecht with registration OE-IIC (Austrian registration because of the Austrian lessor). Still in full Jetsgo livery though.

Then there is Malev, they do not operate F100s but do have 4 F70s. They used to have 5, but HA-LME went to KLM Cityhopper a year and a half ago. But Malev seems pretty satisfied with their B736s so getting F100s would be an odd move.

Slovak Airlines also has a few F100s.

But again all this is only speculation.

This post won’t help you, so sorry, but if its an airline in the East, whats the odds on carpatair or Moldavian, if it is meant eastern europe then these are the only two carriers that spring to mind.
