I am currently sorting out old video tapes and I am trying to identify the aircraft.
So far unknown are a Shackleton, some RN Gazelles, a Tornado, a Harrier and a Spitfire.
Also a Stearman
I have IDed a Yak 50, a Firfly and 2 Sea Furies
Can anyone help?

Thanks!!
Looking at it now G-TIII makes sense!
It is great to identify these planes!
So different to old railway footage where I know exactly what I had filmed.
I hope someone else knows the date, and the Shackleton ID would be nice – I don’t think the Tornado or GR3 IDs are as important – however I found out the two helecopters came from Culdrose – not far from some of my relations.

Thats the two S2a’s, looks like it was after BGSE had changed to G-TIII

MY parent live and I grew up at Twigworth.
Remember the Skyfame museum as well – just wish I had taken pictures.
All I know of is some Beta material from 1989 and some overflights from 1990 or 1991 from Twigworth.
I also remember a plane crashing in a field – the pilot was OK

2 more captured frames again interlace tearing and I was using a tube camera
By: The Blue Max - 4th December 2005 at 23:06
Suspect that they are the two S2a’s then

Rewatching the clip with the Toyota Biplanes – THERE ARE TWO!!!!

Just remembered that Brian Lecomber had Totota Sponsorship at one time as well, so the Pitts could be either S1S G-BIRD or S1T G-WILD!

Yugo Cars Stearman is definately N54922, the Red and Whit Toyota sposored Biplane will be a pitts S2a either G-ROLL or G-BGSE.
By: MartinImber - 4th December 2005 at 15:40
1989 before the airshow where Sea Fury TF956 was crashed into the sea.
Yugo Cars Stearman
Also Red & White Toyota sponsored Biplane – sorry not to good on non military stuff – however it was noisy – drowned out the commentator!
I do admitting to emailing the importer of the Yak 50!
Thanks for your help – sorry that video resolution is too low to get numbers off!
(Except for the RN flight)

More needed on the Stearman, what colour for a start would help. Was it yellow with a 450 PW and a girl on top? if so it would be N54922 but not sure if that was in the UK by then?

Martin, do you have a date for the show. If you have I can look up the serials.
