Two comments:

– Registration have been made mandatory on the site in order to avoid mirroring of the content by bots. You will not be spammed and emails are not diffused. I still need to write the privacy policy, should be done shortly.

– If I break a policy on the forum about publishing links to external ressources, please let me know, it will be the last post. If not, I will publish on a regular basis (2 or 3 times per months) links to result of research for aircrafts of interests.

I would watch the copyright on Boeing stuff, their pretty hot on what is deemed their intellectual property.

For the stearman, these documents were published by the air corps, not by Boeing. They are in all cases in public domain (>50 years from publication).

Regarding copyright for more recent documents, I contacted several constructors more than 2 months ago now (Piper, cessna,EADS,Boeing,Diamond, etc) and get a yes or no answer from them.

It seems there is a tolerance from them for non profit diffusion (see http://www.smartcockpit.com).

If I receive a request to remove a document, this is done within same day.

Just registered and had a quick flick through the site – its pretty good, but focuses on pilots manuals more than tech stuff which is my interest. That said, I will be downloading the Stearman set (A long term aim of mine is to build one… I just need the bucket of bits….)

The site COULD be expanded and vastly improved upon to kill off these muppets who think that they can charge 5K for a set of manuals….

tech stuff (maintenance manuals, engine manuals etc) will follow soon. I have a backlog of documents to publish that should be online within weeks. I build this site as an hobby and more will come soon, when I will have time to do it.

All suggestions to improve it are welcome 🙂
