Everyone at Key Publishing is today stunned and saddened by the news that top photographer Steve Fletcher, who has been a stalwart of the company for many years, has passed away following an air accident in Florida at the weekend.
The office in Stamford will be a lot less fun without ‘Storytime’ around to liven up proceedings – he will be sorely missed by all of us and no doubt by the world of aviation at large.
Our thoughts go out to Steve’s family and loved ones, particularly to the two young children he adored.
Adrian Cox, Managing Director, and all of Steve’s friends and colleagues

I have not been on this board much lately, and had no idea this had happened until I just now opened up the Feb Pacific Flyer, published here on the west coast, USA. There was no name mentioned…so I googled it…Been reading and looking at Steve’s stuff in Flypast for years…very sad. My heart kind of stopped because I had a feeling it would be somebody I either know or know of. If you’ve read only Flypast- you’ve seen his fantastic work. Condolences to the Key publishing team and Steve’s family.

May I also offer my deepest sympathy to Steve’s family, colleagues and friends.
I would bump into Steve half a dozen times a year at shows or on air-air trips. He was always good company and very good at his job. He will be sadly missed.
