“Steve Fossett missing2007-9-4 19:58Washington – US adventurer Steve Fossett, famed for record-breaking solo flights around the world by airplane and balloon, was missing on Tuesday, The Record-Courier newspaper in Nevada reported.
It said Fossett, 63, was reported missing on Monday night after last being seen taking off in Nevada in a single engine Citabra Super Decathlon.
His US office declined to comment.
