Steve's Trip – the Director's cut…

Hi all,
Steve needs to have a GOOD (I mean, like, neat) collection of pictures of non-aviation stuff to take home to show the Missus. So, like old rocks with fenceposts in the way just won’t cut it.

Stuff of ‘Poscard England’ is what he needs – stained glass, big churches, stuff that only the tourists buy.

Also he needs help with ‘What I dun on my holiday’ script for the family. I think Melvyn’s done well on one day, help greatfully recieved…

Cheers

As Steve’s already said, it’s the Hemel one.
Fairly nerve-wracking the first time you use it but, strangely, it does seem to work.
As I now live “oop north” I haven’t been near it in years. Can’t say I miss it.

Robbo, yes that’s the Hemel one. The roundabout without an exit stub is presumably the one which got closed off when they pedestrianised part of it a few years back. I used to work a few miles from the Magic Roundabout, god awful bloody thing it is. I think it was a small scale prototype for the M25.

Surely this would cause hurricanes in the locality…?

Steve’s latest driving challenge

Is this the winning entry in a drunken “I bet I can design a worse intersection than you” competition?

Kye

Nice pictures, especially of london from the eye and Chinook 🙂

Whats the deal with the Concord picture? Is that an actuall picture, if so where was it taken, or is it a photoshop jobbie?

Sorry mate. It is good old photoshop. G-BOAF at Fairford and the snow scene is in Northern Finland near to Kittila into where Concorde used to operate when taking folk to see Santa.

Here’s Santa’s genuine post box. If anyone writes on the front of an envelope Santa, the Arctic Circle, or Lapland, this it where it ends up.

You’ll probably find a letter in the rack on the wall from Steve asking for a Hurri. 😀

If I show these to the mrs. I’ll never get to come to Legends!

Oh well, she might as well get an idea of what you guys are really like. (Scarry is the word that first comes to mind 🙂 )

Robbo. Nice picture of the Swindon magic roundabout. Have you got any pics of the Hemel equivalent?

Firstly, Historic air transport on test flight at East Fortune. Weather looks pretty typical for up there.

Secondly, the quickest way for earthbound Brits to get around.

Or even Tower Bridge and HMS Belfast. (Taken out the back of a Chinook, hence the individual sat on the tail ramp!)
