It confuses us sometimes as well:o

Martin and the Stirling aircraft Project work closely together anyway with exchanges of information, parts and drawings. Access to his control column mounting structure has been a godsend allowing us to accurately draw up the assembly, which will enable us to assemble the floor structure and Martin to assemble his second column etc. Any information arising from this documentary etc will be put to good use by both ventures 🙂

No problem Andy,Things have evolved into two seperate flightdeck projects on the go so your confusion is understandable.

Just to clarify.

I understood that Martin Smith and the Stirling Aircraft Project (that is what I meant by Stirling Society, by the way) were one and the same, but have now been advised that this is no longer so. I am not up to date on my news.

Although Martin is an old pal, I think we are going to have to go with the Stirling Aircraft Project for a variety of reasons – not least of all that they responded first. That is no slight on you, Martin!

In offering the likely finds to a worthy party I did so with the best of intentions and have no desire or intention to walk into any kind of turf war, if one exists.

Beer O Clock

Talking of Stirling’s, I happened upon this at my local beer emporium the other day.

Made from barley, which has been grown adjacent to the former runways, at North Creake.
