Stirling Bomber dual hob with extractor hood.

I’m building a model of the WW2 target towing varient of the Stirling
and was surprised to see what appears to be a dual ring cooker hob with extractor fan.
Is this correct? Was it used much and is this a hangover from the Sunderland (nautical galley).

Hi John

The Italeri kit would have you install what looks to be a galley on the aft side of the Navigators bulkhead, as far as I can ascertain this is where the Beam Approach crate and stowage for the emergency water supply and tropical kit was

Hi

You don’t say where this item is. A pic would be good. There was a map projector at one point for the navigator which I think gave an early moving map display – that looked a bit like a grill as it sat above the map table.
