Stirling Rudder found in Germany

I came across this in a german forum. I can provide contact details should anyone be interested. It is apparently owned by a private museum. Can’t tell if they wouldn’t mind getting rid of it.

My thoughts are: where’s the rest of that particular Stirling. Fascinating stuff.

Any more infor available?

Battle damage?

It does look like cannon fire has had a chew at it – rather than being just impact damage.

I find these old battle relics absolutely fascinating and wonder, if it could talk, what story it would have to tell. Maybe that’s just the romantic in me.
