Hi there,
Ok, please forgive my very poor effort at narration in this video, but Youtube only allow ten minutes for a video, so I had to rush this..
A gentleman I was introduced to a couple of years ago, and now someone I hope I can call a friend, was a Stirling pilot, in Bomber and Transport Command, he has a good case for claiming the title of the pilot with the most hours on type. He started the war in Bomber Command, transfered to B-17s in 100Grp flying RCM ops, and later went back to Stirlings in Transport Command.
He servd in XV,46, 214 Sqdn, and 1651 HCU.
Here are his Stirling pre-flight, start, taxi, and take-off instructions as typed by him, and narrated by me :

I hope thats of interest to somebody,
Regards,
S.

Thanks Hindenburg, that’d be a great thing to see. Maybe I could persuade George to come along too.

I think that`s great Hanglands……when I finish the cockpit, you can go through it all with the real thing to hand.
