Stn

My last WE in London gave me the opportunity of a first trip via STN.
It was a good surprise since this airport is bright , clean and convinient.
My last expriences in LHR were quite painful.
The ground transportation is good and convenient but very expensive compared to the one in Paris.

my only grumble though was the time taken to pass through the one security point that existed – a whopping 40 minutes! is anyone at liberty to say whether or not BAA have the situation rectified??

cheers,

LGKR

It took us 2 mn to pass the security check on last Monday.
However 2 points were open at this time

I can’t see why there was only one security point open. They must have had staffing problems on that day, as there are usually 3 or 4. One or two for domsetic and then atleast 2 for international flights. I usually have to queue for around 15 mins. 10 mins on a good day.

Im fairly sure that there is a national express coach link between all the airports, although thinking about it it may only be LHR and LTN. You could check it out on nationalexpress.com

Mongu – probably the cheapest way to get from LUT to STN is to get a low cost (£1 type) flight to another destination which returns to STN!

LHR-STN on the trains? Heathrow Airport station-Finsbury Park on the tube. Finsbury Park-Tottenham Hale on the tube. Tottenham Hale-Stansted on the Stansted express.

Journey time around 2 hours.
