Just got this newsletter from STN saying the following,
Helsinki
Blue 1, part of the SAS group, started daily services to Helsinki from Stansted on 26 March 2006. Business and economy class fares are now available.
The choice of flight times make it ideal for those planning a day’s business in Helsinki.
Belfast
Air Berlin continue to expand their routes from Stansted with the launch of a twice daily service to Belfast from May 2006.
Gothenburg
We are delighted to welcome FlyMe to Stansted. FlyMe commenced a service to Gothenburg in Sweden at the end of March. They have also kindly donated a pair of return tickets for our FlyBuy competition above.
Athens
We are pleased to announce that from June 2006 Flyglobespan will be offering a daily flight to Athens. Athens is a perfect destination for a long weekend of culture and sun, a great starting point for a summer holiday or trip out to the Greek islands.
Jersey
Atlantic Express will operate a twice-daily service to Jersey from Saturday 27 May 2006. Despite its small size, Jersey has something for everyone from beautiful beaches and great nightlife to excellent shopping and world class festivals and events.

It’s nice to see a flight to Athens though from STN – it makes a change from schlepping down to EGKK if you live near STN which I do… 😉

Possibly they could start the route, but I think they’d do London City first.
Do eastern already operate from STN? they fly to MAN dont they?
Hi they did do STN-MAN but they stopped it I think.
Using Shorts 330-200 and British Aerospace Jetstream 41
You all might say Eastern airways never used S330 well they did in the 80’s

When the hell is someone going to relaunch a STN-ABZ route??
Carried 100K pax annually before Air UK were taken off the route by KLM in 1999.
No-one has taken it up since.
Must still be a market for SOMEONE!!

Yes I think that someone should launch the route too. I flew it in May 1999 to go see Leeds Rhinos win the rugby league. It was KLM when I flew the route.

Belfast is to BHD, isn’t it? It’s been advertised for some time now.

BAA a bit behind the times at Stansted it seems – although this is announcing already launched routes I suppose.
