Just a heads up in case they appear on the market
Model collection stolen !

the following dispaly models were stolen from my house around 8th March 2011 should any be offered for sale would appreciate being advised.
– Executive models fiberglass Bristol Britannia blue tail 100 scale.
– Pan Am old colours Boeing Stratocruiser 100 wood model
– BOAC Stratocruiser white tail 100 scale wood display model
– TWA Super Connie G-1049 100 scale wood
– BOAC white tail DC-7C, 96 scale ( plastic FROG model)all on display stands
also
– Franklin Mint Silver Ghost RR limited editionthank you, but if any one knows a better threat for this notice please let me know.
Can people let them be known around other sites and help the guy out.

Sorry to hear of this incident, was it just the aviation stuff that was targetted or did other household stuff get stolen too?
Placing any photos of the models you had stolen may assist in your aim for forum members to look out for these items.

thanks for your interest – mainly aviation items were taken other than the RR and a Toledo diospaly sowrd so they new what they wanted!

Sorry to hear of this.
There is one fairly obvious outlet for these items. The aircraft should be fairly noticeable but Franklin Mint RR Silver Ghosts are almost two a penny so it won’t stand out unless it has some very specific marks or damage.

wasnt down in the South East by any chance was it Tony ?.I know of a couple of people who have had unwanted visitors recently and aviation related material has gone missing.
I think it is a good policy if you have a valued collection or a stores of aviation related materail keep the number of visitors or people in th eknow to a limited number.there seems to be a lot of this sort of theft going on at the moment.
In our old workshops we had unwanted visitors and stuff went missing since our move we dont advertise our exact location and keep it down to specific invited visitors only so we can narrow down in future any problems or unwelcome visitors.
