Does anyone know if there exists a photo of Charles Blair’s P-51 Mustang Excalibur 111[N1202] when it was named Stormy Petrel ?
Tried Google but no luck.
Cheers

Thanks for the links Airtanker but i am actually looking for an image of N1202 as ‘Stormy Peterl the name N1202 carried before it became Excalibur 111’
But cheers anyway
It looks like it’s exactly the same colour-scheme, but with the name ‘Stormy Petrel’ instead of ‘Excalibur’. In the book ‘Excalibur III’ published by the Smithsonian, there’s a close-up photo of the cockpit area and a profile drawing of it, and it states (text edited a bit here):
‘For a short period N1202 carried the name ‘Stormy Petrel’…a herald of ill fortune. Blair had many problems at first…and soon changed he name in hope of better luck.’
Hope this helps!
Cheers
