Here’s a random thread… How many times do you see the name of a company or an advertising slogan and think… Hmm… That could be better? Or it’s so ridiculous or funny you have to do a double take? You don’t need to post a photo, but let’s hear about them.
Here’s one from a recent trip to Germany:

I’m sure VD Tours are very good, I just couldn’t bring myself to tell my Mum who’s taking me on holiday if I went with them!
Another random one was on the bus coming home from the airport the other day. We pulled up at a bus stop next to a 6 foot tall advert for a gym, and in the advert was a guy asking “Do you have man boobs?!” I did a double take while sub-consciously thinking, well, yes, I do actually. π
Let’s hear ’em!

On my way home from Uni today, I passed a lorry on the M1 which belonged to a logistics company called Panic Transport.

In Canada at the moment they are advertising Diamond Shreddies, which is basically the original shreddies turned on its side!

I know it is not particularly funny, but when I was in Canada last year, I was walking back to my hotel/lodge in Banff, and on the otherside of the road there was a white van with the word ‘Willemaker’ on the side…, if you pronounce it as it sounds (willie-maker), you could assume that the owner of the vehicle has a somewhat strange occupation…dont you think so?

There used to be a builders’ merchant in Manchester by the name of “Robert Sunter and Sons”.
But the first name was abbreviated on the back of the wagons and there was no mention of any sons……… :diablo:

In Stoke-On-Trent, they used to have “Potteries Motor Transport” buses, emblazened with “PMT Buses” on the side…..

So nice to have a road named after oneself…:D
There’s a Renfrew St in Glasgow too, not to mention an entire town nmaed after me just along the road from me. In fact Renfrew Road is just at the junction of my street.:D

On a filming job in California, we came across this unusual little town in the Mojave Desert…
Then in Los Angeles, we thought the parking arrangements seemed a little odd at this homosexual orientated supermarket…
And more recently, an interesting boutique in downtown Kiev…

At least they’re polite about it I suppose π π π LMAO π
That was rather good. I remember Gary sent me a bunch of classfied adverts once and some of the website domain names sounded REALLY dodgy…..perfectly legitimate companies…..just really bad English π π π
I’ll see if I can find them π π π
by all accounts, a legit website, selling custom made pens.
but then again, I’m not so sure. Looks pretty silly to me:
“So you want that customized pen look, without all the effort? Pen Island can help.
Just tell us a little bit about the size, color, texture, and taste of the pen youβre looking for, and weβll see what can do. Youβll be surprised at whatβs available. “
“customized pen look”?
“taste of the pen” ?
eh?
