Hi all,
During the eighties (I do not remember the exact year anymore) a neighbor of mine found this object (see photos) in the neighborhood of Moerkapelle (small municipality near The Hague, Zoetermeer and Gouda in The Netherlands). The object fell on top of a pole and this resulted in a large dent in the object. I think it is a part of a plane because it fell from the sky and it is cone-shaped.
I want to find out what it is and I post my question here because I think someone from this community might recognize it and know what it is.
Does anybody have any clue on what this is? Or can anybody advise me on where (on which forum) to ask also regarding this object?
The diameter of the object is approximately 45,7cm, the height is approximately 49cm.
Ok, now the pictures:

3.
4. These are numbers that were used to align the parts of the object.
5. These are numbers engraved in the object (including a serial number).

After closer inspection the longest number on the object is:
GE639E417G3
Googling on 639E417G3 resulted in hits! The cone is a part of the exhaust of a GE engine. I already contacted GE to find out if they know more!

At that time somewhere overhead a pilot would be saying..”Dang did you feel that?I think we lost something..”

S/N 4471.
S/N usually stands for Serial Number. So possibly British or American.
