Hi everybody,
Today’s Su-24Ms are planned to be replaced by the strike derivative of the Flanker family (Su-27IB/Su-32FN/Su-34) in Russian service. There is always a doubt if the Russians will find enough money to build this Strike Flanker.
A while ago an upgrade of existing Su-24M Fencers was proposed. This was to incorporate new electronics and PGMs. This could be seen as an cheaper alternative for buying new a/c. Personally that’s what I think will happen; upgraded Fencers (at best!).
Any thoughts?
Ference.
