Does anyone have any snaps hots taken at Strubby?
I have very fond memories of the airfield, as I used to enjoy watching the CAW Varsities and Dominies when I was a kid.
I never see any pictures of the place even though it seems to have always been pretty active – Varsities, Dominies, JP’s, Canberras, Meteors etc. Only managed to find one b&w shot on Air Britain’s site so far. Would be lovely to see any others!

My father flew the Canberras at RAFCAW Strubby and ferried the first Dominies there from DH at Hawarden. He also used to cadge a lift on a night flying Varsity to practice Astro-Nav using a sextant in his spare time !
Would dearly love to see any photo’s of that era as I was too young and dad did’nt have much time to record with a camera .
