Good Question mate! 😉
And answered I see.
Did you notice when the Spitfire’s first got their rear view mirror’s  , DOH why it took so long who know’s, and they got their cockpit armour around the same time I think!
I am crook again, the Coeliac’s being a real pain again( I’m back and forward’s from the Royal Throne like a blue assfly), and that on top of the M.S. has left me completely Knackered 😮 , so I must really just STOP RIGHT NOW and give it away 🙁 .
Bye all for now, BUT I’m very sure
I”LL BE BACK!! :dev2:
Ciao

Thanks for the answers guys, this was a serious question, i know they had rear gunners, it was something to do with a painting he saw at the Imperial War Museum that caused the question to arise in the first place, not sure exactly what.

Have just checked Crowood’s aviation series title ‘Ju 87’ by Peter C Smith. The only Stuka’s that may have needed a rearview mirror were the trainers of the ‘H’ series which did not have any rear armament. I think this thread needs knotting now.

I have a 1/24 Airfix model of a Ju 87B suspended above my desk. I just checked it and it doesn’t have a rear view mirror. Why would you need one if you have a rear gunner?
