Recently there was some discussion on this forum about the possible identity of the Stuka replica shown in the recent Channel 5 documentary. I have now received an e mail from the production company responsible for the documentary and the following is an extract from that e mail –
” In 1977/78 a U.S. engineer named Louis Langhurst in Minnesota designed a flyable Ju87 replica in a scale of 7:10. The basic pattern for this replica was taken from the Ju87 in the Chicago Museum of Science and Technology. A total of 8000 Manhours was necessary to complete this flyable Ju87 replica, which is powered by a 220ps Lycoming engine. On 19th July 1978 this replica performed its first flight at Langhurst. The aircraft is painted in the colours of the III/StG2 and is registered T6+AD. For flying performances the aircraft is registered N87LL. From 1981 to 1990 this aircaft was on display at the San Diego Aerospace Museum. Then the aircraft was sold to Richard Erzenberger and today it is owned by Roland Weeks in Billox,Mississipi. It is now thought to be the only flying replica in the world.
It is now owned by Mitch Sammon in Augustine ,Maine who considers himself the plane’s custodian rather than its owner because of its historic value. Mitch also considers the plane a work of art. Mitch can be contacted at msammons@sheridancorp.com”
Mystery solved!

Geoff, is it from the same company that does the Spitfire IIa in 118 Sqdn markings? That must be some size if the Spit is anything to go by! 😮
Another image of that Stuka:
