Stupid road signs

Some years ago I saw “Caution -Rolling Stones” in a craggy pass in Scotland or North Wales…..

I saw a sign today that said “Mud on road”.
At their age I’m amazed they are still touring.

But as I said some of the signs are just pointless.

It’s not just the stupid ones, it’s the amount of signs. 80% could be removed. Near me I can think of three that goes from 30mph zone to 60mph zone, seems rasonable you may think, but you only have about 20 yards before you get to a tee-juntion and have to stop.

Saves them putting up the signs on a road which already has that speed limit in force? Gets you into a 60mph frame of mind?

Oh yes: please copy and paste 10,000 times the correct spelling of reasonable and junction.;o)

How often have you pootling along in a 30 zone, hit the 60 zone signs. Think, “great” time to put the boot down when you see “SLOW” painted in white on the road!
If only they used a little common sense. Maybe put the 60 signs AFTER the hazzard. Face Palm!

Apparently you can hack the road signs if the default password is not reset. Especially temporary and mobile ones.

Was sent this one once – which i have to say I’ve never seen in the Highway code. Got to be a wonderful back-story to it somewhere!
