I’m hoped to see this project flown into the skies,but the was suspended as a result of financing in 1991,this design of Sukhoi OKB 3-seats basic training aircraft which was Su-25U3.
the purpose of this project:
-40% reduction in the cost of pilot training.
-reduction of aircrafts for training.
-using one aircraft,one instructor and two students in the same time.
the differed from 2-seater:
-the forward and part of the center section of the fuselage was changed as a result of installing the three seats tandem cockpit.
-removed all weapon pylons.
-the air intakes and ducts were modified in shape and size as a consequence of using less powerful engines(in class of 2200kgp).
