Su-27P engine exhaust

The former Test Pilots Su-27P – bort number 595 was at this years MAKS 03 airshow at Zhukovsky.

Belonging to LII – the Gromov Flight Test Centre – it has been painted up in a similar colour scheme to the Su-27 bort number 05 in the ACE grey/blue colour scheme.

Of interest is the odd exhaust nozzle – I don’t know if it now has TVC nozzles – but it certainly has a strange shroud around the nozzle ….

Anyone know any more about it ??
