OAO NPK Irkut Transfers in Electronic Form Documentation for Construction of Su-30MKI Fighters to Hindustan Aeronautics Corporation Ltd within Framework of Licensing Contract
OAO NPK Irkut has transferred in electronic form the documentation for construction of Su-30MKI Fighters to Hindustan Aeronautics Corporation Ltd within the framework of the licensing contract. As the technical director of the OAO, Aleksandr Veprev, reported, the enterprise delivered for the first time to the customer the licensing and technical documentation both for the airplane and for it fitting out in a protected form.
According to the contract concluded in December 2000, OAO NPK Irkut already has transferred to the Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) corporation a large part of the documentation and also the tooling and materials for manufacture of the fin, wing and other parts of the Su-30MKI multirole fighters. At the end of 2004, the first fighters will be assembled and 140 modern airplanes will be put onto the production line.
