Successful air refueling trials for Gripen

The Gripen has undergone verification flights of the air to air refueling feature. Test flights have been conducted in cooperation with a South African Air Force Boeing 707 tanker and it’s ground crew of twenty who arrived at Linkoping, Sweden, on 19 March. Everything seems to have gone very well, and a total of 19 sorties which included various speeds, altitudes, and external loads on the C/D Gripens have been conducted during the past month.
